CD is on the way!

It’s out of my hands.

Recording an audition CD has to be one of the hardest things that I’ve ever done. You are sending a representation of yourself that is bound to have some mistakes, it’s just a matter of determining which mistakes you are willing to let go. To think that you’ll make a perfect CD is unrealistic and can really mess with your head. I have spent some late, late nights working on this stuff. As a trumpet player you get to a point where you can’t physically do it anymore. You have a certain amount of endurance and a certain amount of time each night where you are in the zone. A lot of this is learning when to quit!

So, I sent what I believe is the best representation of who I am as a player right now. All I can do is hope and pray!
