for a run. I say run, but I mean run/walk. I’m running more now than when I started but I still can’t wait until I get to the point where I can run the entire time without stopping!
It was beautiful outside this morning, and the best part was running down by the lake. Totally clear, a little windy but not too bad. 19 degrees. Zoe stayed home this time. 🙁
I added an extra .25 mile or so, I ran down to the beach house and then to 5th Avenue this time instead of cutting up 75th Street.
Still gotta find that plane ticket!
Well, I wasn’t going to run this morning, but I got up extra early to shovel snow. After shoveling for a good 30 minutes, I felt ready to run. It didn’t take as long as I thought, so with the extra time, why not?? It’s snowing a little bit and there are a few inches on the ground …. 28 degrees but it feels like 18 degrees, wow. If i can run in this, then every other day should be a breeze, right??
So, I grabbed Zoe and we ran/walked our usual path, a mile. We walked on the snowy roads and ran the ones that have been plowed … So, I’d estimate a good half mile running and a half mile walking.
A new year, a new Garza!
Goal 1) Run a marathon. I decided to get fit this year. I brought home a weight set and I’m eating better. I’m starting a running program to help get me from couch potatoe to 5K ready in six weeks …. GOOD LUCK ME! So, to help me reach this goal and not slack off, here’s my plan:

Jog 200 yards (or 90 seconds)
Walk 200 yards (or 90 seconds)
Jog 400 yards (or 3 minutes)
Walk 400 yards (or three minutes)
